Have you ever been to a play room where there is a ball pool? Have you ever thrown yourself in it, as if you were going swimming? That is exactly what I wanted to do with those Uranus balls.
I also wanted to bite one of them and play with them as I did with my favourite ball at home. “No, no”, I told myself and I shook my head to make the thoughts go away. Can you imagine how weird that would have been? I think that they would have all attacked us.
We continued to walk in between them for some time, until all these cute and colourful balls started to group. In the end we noticed that they formed a letter:
W
Color walked around the letter, trying to see if there was something else there. But Selfi quickly took out her previous notebook and started writing in it. As soon as she wrote down the letter W, the balls started jumping again and formed another letter. This went on for hours. It was very boring. It felt as if we were talking to a lazy person who was spelling an entire story.
This is what the small balls told us:
We are happy to have you on Uranus. Until now, we did not want to communicate with any of our visitors. We are called Mi and we don’t communicate through words or sounds, like you do. But we can feel what you are feeling. All the others visitors came here to search for treasures. We could feel that they were not kind creatures. But you came here searching for something else.
Lumi, Color and Selfi kept on talking to the balls for a long, long time. They told them about Uranus’ seal and how important it was for us. They told them about Pluto’s story and about the Earth’s decision. During this time, the balls kept on jumping around. This took very long and I was not patient enough. I wished I could play with them. I wanted that so much that I almost cried loudly.
Then, Color came back and told us everything. “They would gladly put the seal on the document, but they do not have it. It is placed on a weird place called The Gate of the Wise. We will have to go there and take it. It is not far away from here”, added Color and started walking after the balls.
I walked and walked until I got bored again. But suddenly a ball hit my butt. “Hmm… it must have been by mistake”, I told myself and I continued to walk. But then the ball hit me again. I turned with a furious face, but the ball was jumping happy back and forth. It hit my nose gently as if inviting me to catch it. At that moment I quickly tried to catch it but my teeth just clenched together again, the ball had escaped. This was a serious situation. My micinik reputation was at stake. Just imagine it… what if my own kind finds out that I have been to the country of the happiest small balls and I could not play with them.
So I pretended that I was looking at one of my pawns, but kept one eye on the small, annoying ball. When I saw it get close I opened my mouth and took it by surprise. It stopped right in between my teeth. Of course I did not bite it, I did not want to harm it. I growled a bit and pushed it out. But the ball seemed to like this game because it kept on coming back. Soon hundreds and hundreds of small, colourful balls were jumping around me. They kept on playing around and bumping into me. This was my dream come true. I was so happy that this seemed unreal. I was moving my ears, my tails and my pawn; I was making myself small and then big like a balloon. The balls were following me, jumping around. It felt that we had been friends since forever.
Sometimes you find friends when you least expect it. I had found my friends here, on Uranus. These balls were my best friends in the whole world.
I was so focused on playing that I did not realize that we had arrived at the Gate of the Wise. Music had to shake me gently to wake me up and then he pointed towards something. I looked up and for the third time since we arrived on Uranus, I was amazed.
Before us was the biggest ball in the entire Universe.
