I know that you have been asking what is a sealed document. I have also asked myself the same thing. So one evening, while I was walking among the stars with Selfi, I pointed with my nose towards this word in her notebook “The sealed document”. Then, she explained:
“Hundred years ago, on Earth, letters took a long, long time to be sent. Sometimes it even took weeks or months to reach their destination. They did not have envelopes or glue either. This means that everyone could open and read the letters. The queens and kings did not like this. They were often sending important and secret messages. For this reason, people started to search for a method to close and glue their letters. They thought about it for a long time until they came up with a great idea:
From iron they casted beautiful drawings. The shape was similar to a stamp. The base was flat, but the lines of the drawing were above the stamp, like it was sculpted. Every time they wanted to close a letter, they would pour hot wax on the fold of the paper and on top, they would push the iron stamp. After the wax would get cold the paper of the letter would be closed, sealed. This way, the letter could be opened, but not closed back. If you wanted to close it back, you needed the stamp that was closed with.
All planets chose a drawing that represented them and created a stamp. They use the stamp to seal all important documents that they send from their planet. So, this iron stamp together with the wax can seal important documents. What we want is the document sealed with the Neptunian stamp.
I listened to Selfi quietly while she told me the story of the letters and the seal. Yes, I think that it is good that people cannot read other people’s letters. For example, I often write to my miciniks friends from Pluto. I ask them about my favourite juice, made out of Bulimag – that sweet fruit from Pluto which all miciniks love. I also ask them about the weather, if there are any new born miciniks and so on. I wouldn’t like for someone else to read my letters.
After all the adventures on Neptune , it was actually easy to obtain the sealed document stating that they also think Pluto is a real planet. In the document the Neptunians wrote that if Pluto is not considered a planet, then Earth should not be called a planet either. After receiving the sealed document, we went back to the Ship and prepared to take off the fluffy clouds.
I have to admit that I cried a bit when we said goodbye to the monsters. I was scared of them in the beginning, but we slowly became good friends with them. We also loved their fluffy fur and even their thin voices, which should be put on a radio such that the entire galaxy can hear them.
Music made a lot of friends there, so we decided to visit Neptun again on our way back from Earth. He also wanted to record some music together with the monsters. That would sound amazing!
It was difficult to depart Neptune, but we had to continue our trip. However, exactly when we were about to take off, the Ship told us that a Neptunian was right outside our door. He was carrying 2 big bags that looked heavy. He was shouting after me, Timok. So we stopped the engine and opened the door. It was a miracle! My dream came true! As soon as the door opened, a lot of white crunchy balls invaded the Ship. For a moment, I thought that I was in heaven and I didn’t want to leave it.
I silently thanked the Neptunian. I am sure that I would be friends forever with him.
And so the Ship started the engine again and flew higher and higher. We were on our way to our next adventure among the stars. I will tell you all about it in the next chapter.
